I would understand if it was a pure PVE game where you could team up with PC in co-op content (but then the die-hard endgame PC players wouldn't want to team up with us consolers because the PC inputs are far more superior to that of console - so guess what? Even PVE co-op games have crossplay set as optional!)

I have been playing FPS'ers on console since I was in short trousers and can hold my own on FPS games. I refuse to accept the barage of "get good" replies to my post coming in.

Yes, xboxers will likely play the game to do the events, but actively partipate in PVP is not an option for the more experienced or higher level xboxers as we have come to see what havoc a PC player (or, heaven forbid, a full crew of PC players) can do to four, high level, experienced console players. After this game-changing encounter you will soon realise that you cannot simply sail up to a sloop and blow it out of the water with your xbox crew as it can take one experienced PC player to ruin your crew.įairness was clearly not an option for Rare when they considered crossplay. This may be because they haven't played the game that much that they can actually tell the difference or they don't analyse a fight after winning or losing. I enjoyed the fight, and would've wanted to fight against them for experience, but they obliterated myself and my crew.Īs scarce as some people claim PC players to be in this game, they simply have too large of an advantage, and will ruin your experience while on console when you go toe-to-toe with them.įurther to this, I would also like to know how many xboxers are even on this forum to begin with, as I'm not sure how many xboxers are aware of the crossplay. They moved and jumped around the galleon with such precision and ease that it seemed like they were lagging - appearing and re-appearing all over the place - they were that fast (for the PC players reading too much into this: no, it wasn't actual lag). We tried to hit a galleon earlier today who had 3 or more PC players on and the results were catastrophic (for us that is).
I'm afraid that a lot of xbox players that have put in the hard yards to get their factions above 45 will at some point notice that PC players are simply unbeatable in this game. First off, I have read and followed the entire crossplay megathread before it was closed.
